“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

You’ve Been Carrying So Much

You’ve done what you had to do to keep moving — holding it together for your family, your job, and everyone who depends on you. But lately, it feels like you’ve been running on empty.

Maybe the past still creeps in when you least expect it.
Maybe your mind never stops racing.
Maybe you just feel tired — in your bones, your heart, your everything.

You don’t have to keep doing this alone.

I help people work through trauma, anxiety, and depression so they can stop living in survival mode and start feeling present again. Our work together will be paced for you.

Bring your coffee or hot cocoa.

Bring your story.

I’ll meet you exactly where you are.

Jenae Finney.LMSW.Michigan.Therapist..jpg

Hello! I’m Jenae — therapist, coffee enthusiast, and believer in you.

I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods and says, “How does that make you feel?” (though sometimes, that question does come up).

I’m real. I’m human. And I genuinely care about helping you make sense of what’s been too heavy for too long.

I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and depression — helping adults untangle the pain, fear, or sadness that’s been running the show. My approach is calm and collaborative. We’ll go at your pace, and we’ll use tools that help — such as EMDR, mindfulness, and helping your body and brain work together.

Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you. You’re not broken.
It’s about helping your mind and body finally feel safe enough to start healing.

And yes, there might be a little humor — because sometimes laughter is part of how we breathe again.

Let’s take the first step.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute phone call—no pressure, just a chance to connect. We can chat about what brings you here, and you can see if my approach feels supportive and comfortable for your journey.

Just a heads up: I provide therapy services for residents of Michigan and Tennessee only, since therapists need to be licensed in the state where their clients live.
